The challenge of their emails was to convey the book-making process in a simple way so as not to overwhelm already overwhelmed parents. We accomplished this with simple imagery, catchy phrases, and easy-to-follow layouts.

 

SOAPBOXING

Soapboxing is a research-based YouTube series that dives into all facets of society, from Gender Dichotomies to Recycling. The goal was to teach viewers about how our world works and give them language for feelings they might be experiencing. I had the privilege of writing two episodes: TRASH + FOMO.

This campaign for Mally Beauty needed personal touch points — Who is behind the brand? — and an emphasis on how easily these products fit into a busy lifestyle. There’s a reason they went viral on TikTok! I created catchy copy and paired it with new ways to use the brand’s portfolio of images. Then we put it together into a multi-touch campaign to nurture new customers, offering special deals and multiple opportunities to click.

 

YOUR BEST FRIEND’S OLDER SISTER

Have you seen 13 Going on 30? Remember the part where Jennifer Garner’s character gives an amazing pitch for a cover story, and she wants to put the hypothetical “best friend’s older sister” in the magazine? That’s Cover FX: knowledgeable, gorgeous, and approachable.

I wanted to play up that part of the brand voice and teach readers exactly how to use each product and, best of all, how to customize it. Different models and product imagery work together to make the flow logical and visually appealing.
